One of the historic figures in modern American Journalism, Seth Lipsky will present a lecture and booksigning on his new book, The Citizen’s Constitution: An Annotated Guide, Mr. Lipsky is the founder of the New York Sun and was its editor-in-chief from 2002-2008. In addition, he was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in editorial writing in 1991, the founding editor of the Forward newspaper, and a former contributing editor of the Wall Street Journal.
His book provides a running commentary on the Constitution sentence by sentence, and often clause by clause or word by word, in a highly readable fashion, infusing every provision of the document with color and background, and highlighting its meaning in an era of big government and shrinking freedoms.
The Citizen’s Constitution makes the case that Americans’ age-old rights and privileges are more critical – and more in need of understanding and defending – than ever before. It is a book that is both erudite and entertaining, and could not be more relevant to current events.
“An important book for two groups – those who are conversant with the Constitution and those who are not.” – A Citizen’s Guide to the Constitution, Rick Richman (American Thinker) http://tinyurl.com/y8769v3
Join us for this very timely and critical discussion followed by Q & A.
Copies of The Citizen’s Constitution: An Annotated Guide will be available for sale personally signed by Seth Lipsky following the presentation.
